Why Homeowners Choose Us

Smoke Alarm Requirements for Homeowners, Landlords & Sellers

Mint Electrical is a small, locally owned electrical team. Queensland’s smoke alarm legislation has phased in over several years — landlords and sellers have needed interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms since 1 January 2022, and now every existing private home, townhouse, unit, and manufactured home in Queensland must have them installed by 1 January 2027. We keep across the current requirements so you don’t have to.

We treat your home like our own No shortcuts, no compromises — every smoke alarm install gets the same care and attention to detail.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mint is the only electrical contractor I would use in the Eumundi Doonan area.

We had them do extensive electrical work on recently purchased home including full switchboard replacement.

Chris is a gentleman and the boy's work is absolutely first class.

We look forward to using Mint Electrical for many years to come.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am so happy about the beautiful work Chris did in my home. There was a lot of tricky aspects to the work due to my home being old, but Chris was unflappable and problem solved with nil fuss or disturbance to myself. My lights are so beautiful and have made my house feel that much homier. A delight to work with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Exceptional service. Excellent communicator.
We contacted Chris on a Sunday for the first time, after a referral from a neighbour. He took our call, and conducted works on the Monday PM to resolve the issue and get us back up and running at home.
A few larger works were identified beyond the initial issue. Chris provided a clear quote that evening, with a date the service could be provided. We accepted the quote and terms. He met and exceeded all of our expectations. Excellent communicator and professional service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chris and Josh were great. Chris somehow understood my terrible description of what we needed doing so only needed one trip where Josh came and fixed it all up. Josh was very quick, polite and tidied everything up at the end. Very reasonable prices and a business I will definitely be going back to. Thank you guys!
